Planning my epic journey through AFRICA

I fell in love with AFRICA at the age of 17 after spending 3 months there on a mission to Zimbabwe. From that time forward, I knew that this was just the beginning of my involvement with a continent that has for a long time been misunderstood and forgotten.

In just about a month, I will be heading out on an epic journey of a lifetime --to explore, learn, and share AFRICA. My role will be one part tourist, one part humanitarian, one part journalist, and one part student as I plan to soak in like a sponge the lessons this place and these people have to teach me as they are worlds apart from the life to which I am accustomed.

My journey begins in Cairo, Egypt and ends in Capetown, South Africa from North to South along the Eastern half. As I embark on my 3 month tour, I invite you to share with me in my experiences through my writings, photos, and videos. I hope to capture the essence of this rich culture and pass along my vantage point.
